The Geelong Regional Library Corporation is one of Victoria’s largest library networks, covering some 5,500 square kilometres, providing library and heritage services to people living in urban, rural and coastal areas.  The current service includes a central library, the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre, 16 community libraries, two mobile libraries and a Home Library Service.  With a commitment to ongoing professional development and a dynamic workplace, GRLC provides opportunities for a highly satisfying and fulfilling career. 

This role offers the fantastic opportunity to lead the team at the new Leopold Library as well as providing leadership to GRLC’s other Bellarine based community libraries at Barwon Heads, Drysdale, Newcomb, Ocean Grove and Queenscliff.

Managerial experience along with a deep understanding of the role of public libraries, an ability to engage, lead and coach customer centred teams, the capacity to build relationships with diverse community members and a relevant tertiary qualification are essential.

The successful candidates will be self-motivated, confident and curious about new technologies with a demonstrated ability in the planning and delivery of children’s and young adult library and literacy programs. A relevant tertiary qualification is essential.
