Collections and Reader Development Librarian

Yarra Libraries is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Collections and Reader Development Team and play an active role in developing interesting and relevant library collections that inspire our community. To be successful in this position, you will be passionate about selecting, curating and evaluating library collections in digital and physical formats; be creative in promoting collections to support a wide range of programs and events for our diverse community; be confident using digital technologies and tools to manage library resources; and be interested in improving workflows across the collection life cycle. This role has a front line customer service component, which requires excellent communication skills, demonstrated customer service experience and a commitment to a supportive team environment.
