Branch Librarian

About the role 
This position is responsible for management of a newly created branch within the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library- WPCCL, which is one of Council’s seven (7) branch libraries. 

The main tasks of the exciting new opportunity is to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Supervise and train branch staff
  • Market library services
  • Develop and maintain the branch collection  
  • Manage physical resources and environment as a safe work environment
  • Liaison with other library and community centre staff

Weekend and night shifts are required.
About the person 
The successful candidate should have previous experience in staff management and a proven record of target/project delivery within a public library environment. 
 

It is essential for applicants to have a recognised qualification in Information Science/Librarianship (eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association {ALIA}).
