Band 7 - $90,452 plus super 

An exciting opportunity exists in our Arts & Culture Department to lead the newly formed Library Engagement & Innovation Team.

Your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide leadership to develop, plan and deliver a wide range of engaging Library events, activities, literacy and learning programs which will enhance the lives of residents by improving their intellectual, creative and educational and employment prospects
  • Promote the image and profile of Frankston City Libraries through engaging communications and membership programs to increase retention and activity of library patrons and attract new members.
  • Lead, motivate and manage a diverse, high performing team to deliver dynamic learning experiences and opportunities that demonstrate leading library and community development tends
  • Engage the community with the rejuvenation of the libraries as contemporary hubs of education, inclusion, entertainment and delight

You will have well developed management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff undertaking a range of diverse activities.

Demonstrated experience in delivery programs and events along with well-developed time management and planning skills.

You will have previously successfully delivered improvements by encouraging people to identify new ways of doing things.

You keep up to date with issues and changes in the role of libraries and community expectations.

Suitably qualified with relevant experience, you are a creative, positive, energised and enthusiastic leader with a strong commitment to building relationships, customer service and delivering quality outcomes. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, your professionalism and ability to work collaboratively across all levels of Council to achieve positive results and outcomes will ensure your success in this role.

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Working with Children Check. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
