$82,620 to $91,800 per annum (Increasing by 3% on registration of proposed Collective Agreement)

The Town is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focussed, dynamic, and innovative Librarian to oversee and promote its Library Service and Local Studies section. The position will offer the appointee an opportunity to develop existing services and facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives to meet the needs and expectations of the community.
The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in issues facing contemporary public libraries, demonstrate strong staff leadership and management skills, with demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of systems to improve services to the community. The Town is committed to the continual improvement of the library service to meet the needs of our community and to be recognised as a leader in public library services.
Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies and be eligible for Associate membership of ALIA.
Although this is an initial appointment to 30 June 2019, pending the outcome of the Town's organisational review which is due to be adopted in February 2019, it is anticipated that this will be extended into a permanent role as the Town implements the review's recommendations.
