Temporary Full time position (12 Months)

Band 8 ($107,635-$119,880) plus 9.5% Super plus monthly ADO

An outstanding leadership opportunity awaits you at Maribyrnong City Council as the Coordinator Library Services leading our library services team. Reporting to the Manager, Arts, Community Learning and Libraries, you will be directly responsible for leading the library team to deliver a range of high quality, responsive, contemporary and innovative library services for the City of Maribyrnong. This position will also play a key role in facilitating a Service Review to position Maribyrnong Library Service in meeting the needs of our communities into the future.

The Coordinator Library Services will lead a coordinated and streamlined approach to the delivery of core library services and resources and will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of library services including service development and business planning, policy development and implementation, staff management, administration and budget. You will play a critical role in the achievement of service priorities and quality service performance management.

This role requires a tertiary qualification which confers eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association and substantial senior library management experience. A council vehicle can be salary sacrificed as part of the salary.
