Yarra Plenty Regional Library is an innovative, progressive and effective library service and we are currently seeking enthusiastic Coordinator - Reading, Learning & Community to join the Thomastown and Whittlesea Libraries.
About the role
Thomastown and Whittlesea Libraries are currently seeking a permanent, full time Coordinator - Reading, Learning & Community to actively promote and implement services and programs to ensure the important role of the library as a community hub and to positively contribute to the Thomastown and Whittlesea teams environment.
About you
Our Coordinator - Reading, Learning & Community is responsible for initiating and delivering innovative branch programs and activities across our library services and within the wider community. Plan and deliver diverse range to public and staff. Contribute to marketing to support library events and programs. A large component of the Coordinator - RLC role involves a range of library operations that support customers in a self-serve environment based on a high level of knowledge of library products and services, including circulation and collections management.
Demonstrated proficiency with technology and ability to acquire new skills to keep up with the emerging technologies and applications is highly desirable. As part of the YPRL Coordinators regional team, you will demonstrate leadership within the branch and actively contribute to the role of the library as a place for reading, learning and community. With the ability to build strong partnerships with local organisations, our Coordinators - RLC liaise effectively and comfortably with various community groups and a diverse range of individuals.
Tertiary qualifications or similar, coupled with relevant professional experience is desired.
