Bathurst Library provides library programs and activities to the Bathurst community, a mobile library, an extensive collection of items to borrow and a vibrant community space with access to information and technology.
We are currently looking for a permanent part-time Library Assistant (26 hours per week) to join our friendly team. In this role, you will actively participate as a member of the library team in the day to day delivery of services and programs. You will assist library users to locate information and library material and provide technology assistance. You will have the opportunity to work on special projects that will contribute to the future of the library service.
Minimum Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent
At least 2 years' experience working in a customer service and/or office setting
High level communication skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Excellent computer skills including MS Office suit, digital apps and platforms, and mobile devices
Proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
