Library Communications and Engagement Officer
Permanent Part Time – 29.75 hours per week
$63,189 per annum plus superannuation (pro rata) 

Frankston City Council has an exciting opportunity for a part time Library Communications and Engagement Officer within our Arts and Culture Department.

You are a creative and well-rounded person who’ll report to the Team Leader Communications and Engagement. You will assist with the promotion and delivery of library events and programs, and your exceptional customer service skills and relevant experience maximises the community’s enjoyment and use of Frankston City Libraries.

You are a positive, energised and enthusiastic person with a strong commitment to building relationships and delivering quality outcomes for the Frankston City community. You like to challenge the normal to improve systems and experiences.

With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, your professionalism and ability to work collaboratively to achieve positive results and outcomes will ensure your success in this role.

As the ideal candidate, you will have: 

  • Successful completion of Year 12 VCE or Certificate qualification, or demonstrated experience in Library and Information Services / Community Development, Customer relations or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated excellent design and presentation skills with knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in internet technologies including social media and content management systems
  • Experience delivering community focussed programs and events. 
  • Flexibility to be available to work outside of normal rostered hours when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously as part of a team to deliver outstanding customer service.

This is a permanent part time role working across all Library service points and which may include evening and weekend work.

You will need to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia, certified copies of your qualifications, and a current Working with Children Check. You must also be willing to provide a Pre-Employment Health Declaration and undertake a National Police Record Check.
