Hobsons Bay Libraries are looking for energetic and motivated people with prior experience in connecting and supporting community members face to face and online, to join our pool of casual Library Customer Service and Programs Officers.

Working as part of a professional and friendly team, you will work closely with and for the community to contribute to the provision of a range of outstanding library services and activities that support lifelong learning. 

As a casual Library Customer Service and Programs Officer at Hobsons Bay City Council you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering an excellent standard of customer service to the community
  • Demonstrating positive personal leadership contributing to a cohesive, customer focused team
  • Supporting the delivery of the library’s suite of regular programs, outreach and events
  • Actively promoting the library’s range of services, collections and events at every opportunity

To be considered for this role you will need to be suitably qualified and experienced, and address the selection criteria. Fluency in Auslan or a community language would be an asset.

A relevant qualification and experience in program delivery and front-facing customer service is highly desirable.
