About the Opportunity
Are you a creative thinker who values life-long learning, community engagement, and understands the changing role of today's public libraries? Parkes Shire Council is currently looking for a Library and Information Services Team Leader for the Parkes Library.
The Parkes Shire Library service has a reputation for delivering exciting and innovative programs for local communities, and this role also supports the provision of library services in Trundle, Tullamore and Peak Hill.
This role will support the delivery of the exciting Parkes Library Expansion project, transforming the 18 year old library building into a new dynamic art, cultural and education space.

- Degree in Library, Information Management or equivalent
- Current and maintained NSW Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated relevant work experience in developing library services and programs and leading teams
- Current Working with Children Check
Other details relating to this position are:
- The Grade range applicable for the position is Grade 13 to Grade 15, for a 35 hour week within Council's salary structure.
- The salary range for this position is $71,395 to $91,100 gross per annum (depending on skills and experience)
- Superannuation contribution of 9.5% to your Choice of Fund
- 35 Hour week, 19 day month (1 RDO every four weeks)
- Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2017
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job
