Library Officer

  • Part time positions - 30.45 hours per week
  • Based in a new multi-purpose facility at Wentworth Point

About the role

This Library Officer position is responsible for providing high quality customer service, doing regular desk/roving shifts, carrying out a range of branch duties and participating in the delivery of library programs as part of a new team of staff delivering library services and resources to a local community.

The position is based at the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library, a new multi-purpose facility opened in December 2019.

This part-time permanent position is for 30.5 hrs/wk (incl. weekend work)

About the person

The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a busy library environment and be able to work the hours required including regular weekend shifts.  

You must also have completed an ALIA accredited course or be eligible for membership of ALIA. 

It would be preferred but not essential for applicants to have experience in a local government environment.
