Bordered on the North by Ku-ring-gai National Park and the South by Lane Cove National Park, this leafy municipality offers its library service from four branches based at Gordon, Lindfield, St Ives and Turramurra.

Council is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the role of Library Technician to support and assist in the effective operations of the Library's lending, reference and information, technical and program services.

In this role, you will draw on your highly developed customer service skills to network with community groups as you assist with the development and delivery of outreach and library programs. You will provide quality responses to both customer and colleague queries in a professional, efficient and co-operative manner ensuring the provision of consistent, high quality service delivery within a culturally diverse environment. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with an awareness of professional trends in library services and social media skills. 

To be considered for this role, you will require previous experience in contemporary library operations and technologies with an ALIA (Australian Library & Information Association) recognised qualification or equivalent. A Current Class C Drivers Licence and Working with Children clearance number is also required.

**As a part of the branch network team this role will be required to work at any of our libraries as rostered. A willingness to work flexible hours on occasion, including rostered evening and weekend work will be required**
