About the role
Diamond Valley Library is currently seeking a permanent part-time Reading Coordinator to actively promote the use of the library to our community through the provision of services and programs by delivering a broad range of duties and positively contributing to the Diamond Valley team environment.
About you
Our Reading Coordinators are responsible for planning, initiating and delivering branch reading programs and activities at various library service points across the wider community. The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting customers in a self-serve environment and displaying a high level of knowledge with library products and services. Our Reading Coordinators are comfortable communicating with various community groups, educational institutions, and the community, covering all demographics and age groups, in accordance with YPRL's strategic and community objectives and Branch priorities. This role is also responsible for coordinating a small team of story tellers.
As part of the YPRL Reading Coordinators' regional team, you will actively contribute to the role of the library as a place for reading, learning and community while working collaboratively with the Learning and Community Coordinators. Tertiary qualifications or similar, coupled with relevant professional experience is highly desired.
