Reporting to the Team Leader Library Branches, this important supervisory role looks after a professional branch library team ensuring the programs and services offered are innovative, relevant, financially viable and well utilised by the local community.
What would a day in this role look like:
- Spend time coaching and building capacity in your team, providing support and development opportunities to drive a positive and service focused team culture;
- Review our collection or identify opportunities for fresh and innovative programs to drive community engagement and ensure our programs are meeting community needs;
- Focus on continuous improvement and best practice, participate in reviewing our policies, and develop new processes and procedures to support any policy changes;
- Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Branch Library within allocated budget and resources.
About You:
- Ideally Degree qualified in Management and/or Library and Information Science, your background in similar roles includes library operations, budget management, and managing teams in a high volume customer service environment, where results count;
- Your positive, inclusive, and performance based leadership style ensures you get the best from your team;
- You are an innovative and strategic thinker who enjoys sharing your knowledge and expertise, while also learning from others;
- Having a work/life balance is important to you.

This role provides a salary range of between $77.7k to $93.3k per annum + 10% superannuation.
