Join the Wagga Wagga City Library Team!

The Wagga Wagga City Library is entering into an exciting period where we are expanding and increasing our services to the community. These services will be delivered at both the Civic Centre and as part of a new agile library service to the suburban neighbourhoods and village communities across the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.

As a result, we seek two experienced individuals to conduct the Agile Library Service at designated sites across rural villages and suburbs located in the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.

What we will offer you:

  • Two (2) Permanent full-time positions available.
  • Remuneration of $2,273.04 minimum gpf with the opportunity to progress to $2,727.65 gpf + superannuation.

Your new role:
This service includes loading and driving the agile library vehicle to the multiple locations in accordance with the established schedules to deliver a responsive, customer friendly library service to the community.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct the Agile Library service including processing borrowings, returns and library memberships and delivering programs.
  • Load and drive the agile vehicle to multiple locations across the Local Government Area to deliver a high-quality library service to library members and visitors to meet their information and recreational needs.
  • Deliver a variety of library programs in collaboration with other team members, for example story time, school holiday programs, youth activities, seniors’ classes, social media classes, intergenerational programs, and author talks.

What you will need to succeed:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Substantial experience using a Library Management System and assisting with information and readers advisory services in a library setting.
  • Substantial experience in the presentation of programs to diverse audiences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • A current NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
