Yarra Plenty Regional Library (YPRL) enjoys a reputation as an innovative and industry leading library service with 160+ staff, 150 volunteers and 9 library branches across 3 municipalities as well as established mobile and outreach library services.
About the Role
The Branch Manager Outreach Services is responsible for ensuring quality library services at outreach service points, Mobile Library service, managing operations and leading staff to develop informed, connected, inclusive communities across the YPRL region.
The Branch Manager Outreach Services will provide strategic input into the management and development of community outreach services, including the Mobile Library Service, identify opportunities aimed at improving library access and services to socially isolated communities.
Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Management, or similar, will be highly regarded in the selection process.
About You
You are highly motivated and a proactive leader with well-developed management skills and a sound understanding of the importance of outreach services. You have an ability to lead and develop staff with strong persuasion and influencing skills. You demonstrate strong customer service and relationship building to maintain relationships with people at all levels ensuring quality library services. Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Management or similar will ensure your success in this role.
