Moreland City Libraries are about more than just books. Our libraries are vibrant neighbourhood hubs offering social connection, cultural interactions and learning opportunities. We are seeking a finance and customer service officer who is passionate about providing a high-quality service to our community.

In performing this role some of your key responsibilities will be to engage with our diverse community to provide excellent customer service. Assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide. Maintain accounts and financial records for the Library Service. Follow up invoices and accounts and liaise with suppliers of services and Finance Branch staff. Maintain and distribute supplies of stationery and minor equipment to all service points. Participate in contract negotiations with suppliers as required. Provide advice, undertake purchasing, including research into price, quality, OH&S implications, and generate orders as required by senior staff.


  • Teamwork, supervisory and communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and accounting skills
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Demonstrated high level computer literacy skills, particularly Word and Excel
  • Good organisational and team management skills
  • Diploma of Office Administration or equivalent relevant experience
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check
