Library Administrative Support Officer (Part-time)

  • Permanent part-time position, Monday - Friday 24.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Administrative Support Officer to join our library service. Key features of your role will be to provide support in rostering casual and weekend staff across our five library branches, managing accounts and invoices, plus providing exceptional customer service to the public, and much more!

Key Requirements

  • Successful completion of Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering administration and accounting services
  • Experience in providing face-to-face and telephone customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounts software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, organisational and co-ordination skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Assist the Administrative Support Officer (full-time) as needed
  • Covid-19 vaccinated


  • Experience in rostering operations
  • Experience working in a public library
  • Experience working in local government
  • Experience in desktop publishing / print production / proof-reading
  • Proficiency in a language other than English
  • Current Drivers licence

Your commencing salary will range from $59,500.17 to $66,937.69 p.a. pro-rata plus superannuation, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
