About the Opportunity    

Love engaging with the Community and managing programs and events? Enjoy working with children and in a creative and supportive team environment? Come and join our Library team for an eight month leave coverage contract in the role of Library Community Engagement Coordinator and help deliver our diverse and amazing activities within the Palmerston Community. 

Key responsibilities include, but, not limited to:

  • Develop and implement library events and programs and encourage participation of all groups and individuals 
  • Responsible for the supervision, coordination and training of the library programs team to ensure delivery of events and programs
  • Coordinate and facilitate the design and development of marketing and promotional material within a wide range of formats, including through social media and other online tools
  • Monitor and report on program and usage statistics, locations and service requirements of participants
  • Provide support to management team as required
  • Provide a timely, professional, customer focused library experience
  • Will be required to work evenings and weekends in support of community engagement events

To be considered for this opportunity you will have practical experience in the development and delivery of programming and events with a positive attitude towards community engagement championing Palmerston as a “Place for People”.  You must be able to successfully obtain a Working with Children/Ochre Card prior to commencement.

This position is a limited tenure position providing leave coverage until April 2021. This is a Level 5 ($79,021 - $81,491 + Superannuation).
