Library Officer - Casual
Multiple Positions, Casual Relief, Level 2, $41.70 per hour (inclusive of casual loading).
We are currently seeking Casual Library Relief Officers at the Town of Gawler. The Library Team are responsible for providing consistent and high quality Library and Customer Services across a number of sites within the community.
The successful candidates will possess demonstrated Library and/or Customer Service experience, strong interpersonal communication skills, high attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and work under pressure, and the ability to work co-operatively and effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated computer skills are also required.
In this Casual Relief role, you will provide casual relief to the Team as required. You will perform a variety of Library and Customer Service front desk tasks, including assisting with enquiries, registering new borrowers, issuing and returning library materials, accurately shelving and maintaining library materials, cash handling and the receipting of a wide range of accounts, permits, applications and registrations, including rates and dog registrations.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding, casual Library shifts at the Adelaide Plains Council Library will also be offered to successful candidates. Weekend and evening work as rostered to support Library opening hours will be required.
To be successful in this position, you must have a current Driver’s Licence, as you will be required to work across a number of sites. You must also be willing to undertake a relevant Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Employment Screening. Relevant qualifications are desirable, but not essential.
