Library Officer - Customer Experience

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) permanent position.

We currently have an exciting role for you to join our Library Team as Library Officer - Customer Experience. 

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Delivery of exceptional customer service that is warm, welcoming, responsive and inclusive.
  • Proactively assist customers with information enquiries and enable use of library resources, equipment, programs and Council services. 
  • Actively promote the Library Service to increase community awareness and understanding of library services, resources and facilities. 
  • Support housekeeping and facility maintenance to ensure the Libraries are presented to the highest professional standards.
  • Support customers of community spaces at the Libraries, including room preparation, technology support and room bookings.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience providing front line customer service in a community setting and experience working within a Public Library environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Public libraries and their role in society including current trends and innovation.
  • Proficient in the use of information technology and software, sound working knowledge of digital resources.
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Current Working with Children Check Clearance and Child Safe Environments Training (or willing to obtain).

This is a Level 2 position which has a current salary range of $36,416.54 - $39,447.60 plus superannuation (0.5 FTE).
