The Wagga Wagga City Library has entered an exciting period of development where we are expanding and increasing our services to the community. Our standalone library service will be delivered at the current Civic Centre location and a new agile library service to the suburban neighbourhoods and rural village communities across the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area.
With the expansion of services to our community, we require a highly skilled, passionate, and high performing leader to join the Wagga Wagga City Library team in the role of Library Services Manager with qualifications in Librarianship e.g. Bachelor of Information Studies, Graduate Diploma of Information Studies, or Master of Information Studies.
Applications are also invited from people working at a professional level within the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museum) sector and hold a qualification other than an ALIA Accredited LIS qualification.
Your new role:
The Wagga City Library is seeking a Manager with exceptional strategic, management and leadership skills. This position is responsible for leading a high performing team in the management, administration, and strategic development of the Wagga Wagga City Library service to ensure the delivery of innovative, timely and best practice library services to our community.
Candidates will need to demonstrate extensive experience in effectively managing the delivery of a library and information service. Highly developed skills are also required in leadership, strategic planning, communication, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. The capacity to develop an ambitious, innovative, and ethical vision for the Library will be essential.

- Total remuneration package of up to $142,702.35 gross per annum (inclusive of salary, car allowance and 10.5% superannuation).

*Please note, this role has access to Council’s Leaseback Vehicle Policy meaning that the preferred candidate has the option of choosing the vehicle allowance (as above) or a leaseback vehicle. If the candidate chooses the leaseback vehicle option, the total remuneration figures will be less than the above.
