About the role

Here at Maitland City Council, we are going through an exciting period of change, with a focus on exceptional customer experiences, where it’s our vision to deliver ‘Un-Council like’ services.  As part of this, Maitland Libraries is seeking a Membership & Content Lead who will be a key part of evolving our libraries to provide an innovative, contemporary and impactful service for our community.

This role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced membership and content professional to be part of the design and delivery of our libraries content and membership programs to reach a diverse audience across multiple platforms. Importantly the Membership & Content Lead will champion principles of inclusion in our libraries to improve accessibility and engagement with our libraries.

About you

You are a creative and innovative thinker that can create and deliver customer focused content, services and programs that meet the diverse needs of our community. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will have you partnering with and building key relationships across the organisation to deliver, publish and maintain library content and to build and improve customer experiences.

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in communications, public relations and/or relevant contemporary experience in leading membership programs and engagement and content creation.

You will have demonstrated experience supporting a culture of continuous improvement and the development and delivery of customer centric content with a focus on digital platforms including website, social media, membership and audience strategies.

This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week with a salary range of $81,834 up to $90,836 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10.5% p.a. super. Council also offers a range of other benefits for its employees, including:
