Bathurst Library provides library programs and activities to the Bathurst community, a mobile library, an extensive collection of items to borrow and a vibrant community space with access to information and technology.
We are currently looking for a permanent part-time Programs Assistant (22.5 hours per week) to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and passionate team and play an essential part in the delivery of high-quality programs for children, youth and adults. You will also be involved in the planning and delivery of the mobile and home library service, special events and library marketing and promotions. Other duties will include assisting library users with locating information and library materials and providing technology assistance on a day to day basis.
- Minimum Year 12 Higher School Certificate or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a customer service setting
- High level communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills and experience
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite, digital apps and platforms, mobile devices
- Proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Working with Children’s Check or willingness to acquire
- Class C NSW Driver’s Licence
This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $660.09 to $693.51 per week + super (plus weekend penalty loading)
Position Status: Permanent Part Time
Hours of work: Wednesday 1.15pm to 6.15pm; Thursday and Friday: 7 hours each day to be taken between 8.30am and 6.15pm as per roster; Saturday 10am to 1.30pm (22.5 hours per week)
