Yarra Plenty Regional Library is an innovative, flexible and industry leading public library service operating across Banyule, Nillumbik and Whittlesea Councils. We are excited to advertise these 3 x permanent full-time Senior Manager Engagement and Operations positions to join the Public Participation team at YPRL.
The Public Participation Department is community focussed, passionate, energetic and have a positive, pro-active team culture. Our ideal candidate will build on this culture and must have experience in leading a multidisciplinary team, resilient, collaborative and adaptive to change. You will cultivate productive relationships internally and externally.
Working closely with the Executive Manager, Public Participation, and other Senior Managers, you will drive engagement with member councils, partners and community, lead a regional portfolio and deliver high level operations for library services in an environment of innovation and continuous improvement. You will lead a continuous improvement culture and have a strong understanding of co-designing with community.
You have outstanding leadership, strategic planning and communication skills. You possess sound judgement and are a creative thinker. You are not afraid to take calculated risks and try new things balanced with an ability to ask questions and seek advice. You are skilled in brokering creative, innovative and strategically aligned partnerships.
Enthusiastic about the role of contemporary libraries and aware of the social, legal and financial contexts in which public libraries operate.
A strategic thinker who can ensure operational agility in response to change.
Experienced in managing and coaching staff and promoting a positive organisational culture.
The successful applicant(s) will also focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with our member councils and work collaboratively with other Senior Managers to ensure consistency across YPRL.
