Are you looking for a new and exciting leadership opportunity? We are currently seeking a Specialist (Local Heritage & Research) to support our Libraries and Learning department.

About the role
A new strategic direction for Maitland Libraries has resulted in a new exciting specialist role on offer! We are undergoing significant transformative change which brings opportunity for innovation, progressive thinking and growing our reputation.
The newly created Specialist Local Heritage and Research role will lead the development and delivery of exemplary local heritage and research services for Maitland Libraries, building capacity for library service delivery and customer experience.
This role will manage delivery of research services for local and family history, development of local collections and content creation through leveraging stakeholder relationships, partnerships and digital platforms.
Working as part of the Libraries and Learning team, you have a passion for history and an understanding of the vital role it has in creating a sense of place and growing community pride,
You will have solid research experience and project management skills, with the capacity to apply these in a cultural institution context. Your knowledge of content creation and curation will deliver insight to and grow engagement with Maitland’s rich history.
Your focus on collaboration will forge strong partnerships and alliances in the community and you will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the vision and ambition of Maitland Libraries through the collection, preservation and presentation of presentation of Maitland’s stories.
This is a permanent full time position with a salary range of $78,656 - $87,308 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 9.5% p.a. super.
