Permanent Full Time - 38 hour week (flexible)

Band 7 - $97,402.78 - $108,990.80 + Super + RDO

Yarra Libraries sits within the Community Wellbeing Directorate and is responsible for the provision and management of public library services to the community, through five static libraries at Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy, North Fitzroy and Richmond and a virtual presence at www.yarralibraries.vic.gov.au

The Coordinator Resources and Technology is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to the Library Management team to ensure that the most effective and efficient services are delivered to the Yarra community. A key focus of the incumbent is to ensure the outputs of the information Services and the library collection are well maintained and innovative.

This position is a crucial part of the Library Management Team and you will;

  • Effectively manage the ongoing strategic development and operation of all Yarra Libraries Information Management systems and functions. This includes the Library Management System (LMS); leading the development of the Yarra Libraries Information Technology Strategy and associated projects.
  • Strategically manage the development and maintenance of library collections, electronic resources and the online library to ensure that they meet the requirements of the community and industry best practice. This includes the management of collection specialist staff, collection policy, budget, supply chains and contract management.
  • Provide leadership in all aspects of Library Customer Experience including services delivered to all five library branches - Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Bargoonga Nganjin (North Fitzroy) and Richmond.
  • Through your sound advice and active contribution, enable the Yarra Libraries strategic vision and direction to be achieved through the provision of exemplary leadership, guidance and support.
