Maitland City Council is going through an exciting period of change, with a focus on exceptional Customer Experience, both now and through planning for the future. As part of this, Maitland Libraries is seeking a Digital Project Lead to be part of evolving our services to facilitate an innovative, inclusive and impact measured service for our community.
About the role
The Digital Project Lead role is responsible for the delivery of digital library systems and innovated system functionality creating seamless customer experiences that reflect community interests and priorities as well as promote connection, learning and growth.
This role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced Digital Project Lead to be part of the design and delivery of our libraries digital services with a particular focus on continuous improvement projects that enhance useability and connectivity of library systems.
Importantly the Digital Project Lead will champion principles of digital inclusion in our libraries to improve useability for a diverse community of users and members. This role will collaborate with, and build relationships across, the organisation with key stakeholders including Council’s Digital Transformation team.
This position provides customer experiences in a variety of ways and will include customer service shifts across a 6 day (Monday to Saturday), day and evening roster.
To be successful in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in project management, library and information systems, business administration /or relevant contemporary experience in project management, coupled with relevant education/training.
You will have demonstrated experience supporting a culture of continuous improvement and the development and delivery of digital projects, working with a range of contemporary applications and demonstrated capacity to innovate and adapt current services for future needs.
This is a permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week with a salary range of $81,834 up to 90,836 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10.5% p.a. super. Council also offers a range of other benefits for its employees, including:
