Library Officer - Community Engagement

The Role:
This role is responsible for leading, delivering and promoting friendly and efficient library services and programs to increase community awareness and involvement. Working within the Cultural Services Branch your responsibilities include developing constructive partnerships with community groups, organisations and businesses to assist in library programs in order to increase community engagement.
About You:
Are you customer service focused with the confidence to interact with the public and deliver a variety of programs. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, succinct accurate writing style and good time management.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications in Library and Information Services or relevant qualifications or experience in public library
- Demonstrated experience in promotion including use of a range of print and digital media tools
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering programs for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer services, contribute to service improvements and adapt to change
- Flexibility to work weekends and evening rosters and to present occasional out of hours programs
- Completion of a Working with Children Check
