Senior Coordinator Library Operations & Community Engagement

About the role:
Exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced library professional who is passionate about libraries and the future direction and trends of library service delivery. You will be instrumental in the strategic development of the Library Service.
The Successful applicant will provide dynamic leadership and direction to the Library Customer Service, Operations and Community Engagement teams, ensuring delivery of high quality customer focussed Library and Council Services and programs, while delivering effective and efficient operational management of all Library Service points.
Duties include:

Seek out opportunities to improve processes and procedures for the delivery of services.

Plan resource allocation to ensure all service points are effectively and efficiently staffed.

Manage the development and implementation of training.

Oversee an innovative annual Promotions and Community Engagement Program.

Identify and develop solutions for complex issues and problems.

Resolve high level or escalated customer requests, enquiries and complaints.

Direct Customer Service as rostered including nights and weekends.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree or post graduate qualification in Library & Information Studies or related discipline
- Extensive experience in managing multiple customer focussed, high volume, library
- branches and delivering high standard services.
- Highly developed complex problem solving skills.
- Proven experience building and leading a team in a multi-site, multi-tasking environment
- Proven experience managing change
- High level oral and written communication skills, ability to build relationships.
