We are seeking a motivated professional to provide an efficient and effective library and information service to meet the needs of the community across our 5 libraries - Whitlam Library Cabramatta, Fairfield Library, Bonnyrigg Library, Wetherill Park Library and Smithfield Community Library.

Fairfield City Open Libraries is a contemporary public library and the role provides customer service and business support services, managing requests and enquiries involving information, books, digital collection, various programs as well as engaging our diverse customers in person and online.

  • Permanent full time position, 70 hours per fortnight – 8.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Sunday
  • 2 x permanent part-time positions, 56 hours per fortnight each - 8.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Sunday
  • This position is a Grade 3, salary range is $59,046 p.a. with progression to $65,174 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $69,167 p.a.
  • Flexible working hours are available  The position includes evening and weekend work which attracts a 25% penalty for Saturday or 50% penalty for Sunday in addition to ordinary hourly rate of pay
  • A uniform is provided
