  • $80,071 (Band 5) per annum, + Super
  • Permanent Full time Position ,35 hours per week
  • Regular evenings and weekends, and a 9 day fortnight

The Opportunity

Hume Libraries is a contemporary Library Service, located on the northern fringes of Melbourne. We currently have a vacancy available for a suitably qualified person to join the Hume Libraries team in the role of Youth Engagement Officer.

Based across Broadmeadows, Sunbury and Craigieburn libraries, you will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative programs for young people across Hume.

You will also:

  • To develop, facilitate, implement, and evaluate a broad range of library and learning programs and activities for young people across the Hume Municipality.
  • Engage Hume's young community in learning, library, and cultural activities relevant to Hume Libraries' purpose.
  • To provide excellent customer and information services to the Hume community

To be successful you will have:

  • A firm understanding of engaging and developing young people.
  • You will develop, facilitate and implement programs with and for young people, and will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of existing programs.
  • You will need to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and with external providers.
  • You will be passionate about youth involvement, and will have an understanding of the pathways available to connect young people with Hume Libraries
