We have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator, Library and Customer Experience to join our team and make a positive impact on our community.
Reporting to the Community Services Manager, this professional role oversees the daily operations of our library and customer experience teams, ensuring high-quality services for residents, visitors, and the broader community.
The role will lead a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional customer experience. It is key to developing and managing programs and services that encourage community participation, support lifelong learning and skill development, and develop responsive, up-to-date collections across multiple locations. A strong focus on staff training, development, and effective team coordination is essential to enhancing the community experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating inclusive and welcoming environments for a diverse range of customers.
- Lead the team to deliver high-quality services, programs and customer experiences.
- Develop and maintain a responsive collection that meets community needs and aligns with library frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Community Wellbeing and Visitor Services to optimise the shared use of Council spaces and resources.
- Support the training and development of the team.
- Engage with local organisations and promote library initiatives through various channels.
- Track library usage statistics for effective service evaluation and improvement.
- Involvement in the Statewide One Card 2.0 Project.
- Contribute to the implementation of strategic plans and change.

What we need:

- A degree-qualified professional in Library and Information Services and/or extensive experience in a similar position.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise tasks.

Successful candidates will require a current National Police and Working with Children’s clearance and undergo a Pre-employment Medical examination prior to commencement and have permanent rights to work in Australia with no restrictions.
