Bay View Community Centre Library Officer
Part time (0.5 FTE)
Salary $68,611 per annum (pro rata), $34.72 per hour plus 15% superannuation

The Town is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Library Officer, to work at the library within the Bay View Community Centre. This role will oversee the Bright Beginning Program and help deliver children’s programs such as Baby Rhyme Time and Storytime. This role will work with the Town’s small but dedicated library team to:
- Assist library users by providing exceptional customer service.
- Process new resources/stock such as covering and accessioning.
- Utilise library software (Spydus) to record library stock movements.
- Shelve library items.
- Assist with collection management such as deselection, stocktake and library exchanges.
The successful candidates will enjoy working with children and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be available to alternative work Saturdays (9am to 1pm) and their core values will mirror the Town’s values of respect, integrity, quality communication, and excellent customer service.
