- Salary commencing at $73,894.43 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation
- An exciting opportunity to work in the library space at Moonee Valley City Council.
The Opportunity
This position will see you play a significant role in the development and delivery of library services and adult community programs in Moonee Valley. This role will be focused on providing high-quality customer service, administering and developing popular library service programs such as Book Clubs, and supporting Home Library Service.
Responsibilities
- Provide a proactive and customer-focused approach to library service delivery.
- Undertake customer service duties as rostered, including working at different library locations, to support the efficient operation of the library service.
- Develop and deliver relevant programs, including digital offerings, that benefit the Moonee Valley community.
- Support and promote library Book Clubs programs.
- Support and promote outreach programs, such as Home Library Services.
- Provide routine reports and statistics on program delivery and attendance.
- Assist library users in the use of equipment and technology such as computers, photocopiers, wireless internet access, online resources, library apps, eBooks and mobile devices.
Skills & Experience
- A qualification eligible for library technician membership of the Australia Library and Information Association (ALIA), plus relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct training programs.
