  • LGO 5 ($87,024 - $90,825 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience.

About the Role

Townsville Citylibraries is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about connecting the community with library services. In this role, you’ll be responsible for engaging both internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver a variety of community services and programs aligned with our Library Services Strategic Plan. You’ll work closely with a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to fostering a love for literature and lifelong learning within our community.

This position manages all daily issues associated with planning for adult services, including lifelong learning and information programs and services in the areas of digital literacy, sustainability, craft and lifestyle, connections with the library collections, including book clubs, and programs for special needs groups including the CALD sector

About You

Our ideal applicant will have a graduate or post-graduate qualification in Librarianship, to meet the requirements for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association, or other similar qualifications in a related field, such as education or social sciences with experience in developing, maintaining, and continually improving planning and business development service delivery workflows

Have experience in providing professional advice on matters relating to literature and literacy and develop programs to connect the community with the library collections.
