The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn connect and create. The nine branches offer a key front-line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed and motivated Library Assistant to join the City of Sydney Library Information Services team.

As part of this dynamic team you will be responsible for:

  • effective delivery of information services
  • facilitating an exceptional customer experience to connect users with services, collections, programs and technology
  • responding to incoming enquiries, handling customer feedback and triaging requests in collaboration with staff across the organisation
  • supporting the development of the Information Services team capabilities
  • supporting library learning programs

The successful candidate will have experience in:

  • excellent written and verbal communication
  • providing high quality customer service
  • digital literacy and technical support

Applicants must be willing and prepared to undertake weekend work, and work across any of the nine City branches as required.
