About the role
Do you have previous experience in a library or cultural facility?
Are you a personable, enthusiastic professional with a focus on customer service?
We are seeking Library Assistants with excellent customer service skills to assist and support the delivery of Library services across our three facilities, including our new cultural facilities at Yarrila Place, and branches at Woolgoolga and Toormina. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out library transactions, responding to reference queries, undertaking administrative tasks, and delivering public programs and events.
What's on offer?
- Starting hourly rate from $31.82 + Super
- Weekend penalty rates and 25% casual loading (for casual positions)
- Multiple permanent part-time opportunities (28 hours per week and 16 hours per week)
- Multiple casual opportunities
- Scope of hours up to 35 hour per week across a 7 day roster
What are the essentials?
- Certificate III in Library and/or Information Services (OR Equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a Library, Cultural Services or a Customer Service role.
- Current Working with Children Check (OR willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current C Class drivers Licence
- Ability to travel across the LGA's multiple venues
- In this role, you will also be required to work across a seven (7) day rotating roster which covers core operating hours and days of the business.
