About Us
At Maitland Libraries we value providing a range of welcoming and creative customer experiences. Our staff actively engage with the community supporting a diverse range of customers to access our in branch services, digital resources, collections, community programs and events. 

About the Role
We are seeking community focused staff with experience in a customer service or library environment. This role provides a range of customer focused services and programs and engages with a diverse range of customers and requests. Our Library Assistants also support the development and delivery of approachable library services. Through exceptional customer service, this role assists customers borrow from the library's print and digital collections and ensures the maintenance of collections and service areas. 
 

About You
Our ideal candidate enjoys engaging with a diverse range of customers and requests. Embracing and implementing change in alignment with the strategic direction of Maitland Libraries will also be important values to you. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills which will be demonstrated through working within a team environment and providing a range of welcoming and creative experiences for our diverse range of customers. If you are community-focused with experience in customer service or a library environment, then we'd love to hear from you! 

To be successful in this position, you must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working With Children Check. 

Benefits
We have a combination of permanent full-time, part-time and casual positions available, working up to 35 hours per week with a base rate of $33.67 - $37.37 per hour based on experience + 11.5% p.a super. The hours worked range from 9:00am - 6:00pm across Monday - Sunday.
