Salary: $76,733.78 to $84,409.40 (pro rata) per annum + 11% superannuation

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney.  Our amazing library service is seeking a creative educator to plan, develop and deliver engaging programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) for the Third Space (Makerspace) at the Lionel Bowen Library for all ages.

We will trust you to bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in a related field.
  • Experience in planning and delivering programs in one or more aspects of making, design, arts, music and technology.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check.

Things you will do:

  • Assist in planning, developing, promoting, and delivering engaging STEAM programs for all ages and backgrounds.
  • Assist in the selection and maintenance of materials and equipment needed to deliver programs.
  • Ensure safe operation of all equipment in the space and induct users of all ages in its safe use.
  • Create partnerships and liaise with program presenters and community.
  • Provide excellent customer service on the circulation desk at three library locations as rostered.
