About the Position

Our Librarians are at the forefront of providing exemplary customer service to the patrons of our City’s Libraries.  We are looking for people with a curious mindset who are keen to introduce innovative activity programmes and services for adults and children.  You will also be required to provide effective leadership to Library Officers in the absence of the Branch Librarian and support other senior members of the Library team with the development and implementation of new initiatives.

This is a casual position that is rostered to work on an as required basis at the Maylands, Bayswater and Morley Libraries.  Successful applicants will need to be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends. Successful applicants will need to have good availability over the working week including evenings and weekends.

About You  

To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and contribute to the team’s success.  You will need to be able to manage a number of initiatives at any one time and meet set deadlines, as well as demonstrate your ability to develop, promote, deliver and evaluate programs effectively.  You will need to hold a tertiary qualification that allows you Associate Membership to the Australian Library and Information Association, a current WA ‘C’ class motor vehicle driver’s license and if successful, be eligible for a Working with Children Check.
