About the Role

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Library professional to deliver outstanding library services to our community through running the day to day operations at the Success Library. Reporting to the Service Lead, Libraries you’ll lead the Success Library team to deliver welcoming and inclusive customer service to the local community at the Success Library - a very busy library located across from Cockburn Gateways and within the Cockburn Integrated Health Facility.  

About you

We’re seeking an experienced library professional with a focus  on innovative and welcoming service delivery to guide and inspire the team   

You have proven experience in staff supervision, budget management and a working knowledge of public library operations and practices. You have a passion for providing excellent customer service and for promoting library services and resources to residents.  
You have a commitment to making libraries vibrant community spaces, and have great ideas around the future directions of services and programs across Cockburn Libraries. 

You have demonstrated skills in problem solving, time management and are able to demonstrate these skills along with your ability to use initiative. 

Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have: 

  • A Qualification in Library or Information Management and eligibility for Associate or Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association

Salary and Benefits: Starting from Level 6 Step 1 ($ 101,353, pro-rata) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
