About the Role
We are looking for an innovative, passionate and customer focused individual to support digital access and skill building for the Playford community and plan programs for increased opportunities for community participation.
Reporting to the Manager of Connection & Inclusion, the Digital Literacy and Programs Officer plays an important role for in supporting our community to live, learn and work in a society where communication and access to information is increasingly through digital technologies like computers, mobile devices, the internet and social media.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver effective digital literacy programs and activities across Council's library branches and other community touchpoints to achieve positive learning outcomes for the community.
- Develop and implement a schedule of on-going community programs, activities and events for targeted audiences in the Playford community.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement using the application of new technologies.
- Work in collaboration with internal teams to deliver community programs and activities within scope of role.
- Train and provide ongoing coordination and support for volunteers and contractors including delegation of work to meet program and organisational requirements.
- Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with internal and external customers.
About You

The successful candidate will hold formal qualifications in the field of Information & Communication Technology, Community Development, Library Studies, Program Management, Event Management and/or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills.
In addition, you will have:
- A passion for working with and for the community to build community capacity and social connections.
- Experience in delivering training sessions to a variety of age groups.
- Confidence using and adapting to new technologies.
- The ability to confidently use and adapt to new technologies.
- The ability to effectively and patiently support a wide range of customers.
- A creative and innovative approach to community support and programming.
- Demonstrated high quality customer service skills and experience.
- A high standard of organisation and time management skills.
