About the Role

In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate programs tailored for children, youth, parents, and caregivers. Your efforts will align with educational concepts, statewide initiatives, and developmental data to foster a vibrant lifelong learning environment within the Light Regional Council community.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude along with the ability to work within change and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of library services and the role the library plays in the community.
  • A certificate qualification relevant to library services, education, or community development, and/or demonstrated experience, knowledge, and skills.
  • Ability to confidently use and adapt to new technologies with a willingness to innovate and experiment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across diverse demographics and the ability to work effectively with the community.
  • Understanding and knowledge of early literacy, child development, and learning theories.
  • Familiarity with the Australian Early Development Census Data for the Light Region.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation abilities.
