Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)

Salary Range: LGO5 ($95,030 - $99,181 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

Location: Townsville

About the Role: 

As Librarian Adult Services, you'll play a key role in shaping engaging, inclusive and future-focused library experiences for the Townsville community. You'll lead the planning, evaluation and continuous improvement of adult library services, programs and spaces, ensuring they reflect changing community needs and support lifelong learning, connection and participation.

Working with colleagues, community partners and stakeholders, you'll help deliver high-quality services, events and collections that enhance the customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how library services evolve, contribute to strategic planning and innovation, and make a meaningful impact on the way our community accesses information, learning opportunities and shared spaces.

About you:

You are a customer-focused library professional who is passionate about creating engaging, inclusive and community-driven library experiences. With relevant tertiary qualifications and experience planning and delivering library, learning, community or cultural programs, you bring strong skills in service development, stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

You enjoy using community insights to improve services, programs and spaces, can effectively manage projects and resources, and are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes that meet the diverse needs of the community.

You are comfortable working within structured organisational processes and can confidently navigate multiple systems, procedures and administrative requirements. You understand the importance of accurate documentation, compliance and governance in delivering quality community services, and are equally comfortable undertaking routine administrative tasks as you are contributing to service innovation and improvement.Your excellent communication skills, partnership-building abilities and commitment to inclusive, customer-focused service delivery will enable you to thrive in this role, while supporting the ongoing growth and success of Townsville's library services.

* The Council contribution to employees' superannuation for contributing employees shall be 13.5% of the employees' ordinary time earnings subject to the employee contributing a minimum of 6% of their ordinary time earnings.
