The building has been named ‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ which means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people across the MidCoast Region.

The role & you

We are looking for a passionate and innovative leader to join our Libraries and Community Services Department.

You will be responsible to coordinate and supervise the team delivering services in our 11 branch locations across the MidCoast LGA. We need your excellence in leadership, accompanied by your drive to provide the best customer service to our communities.

You will play a key role in delivering creative and exciting new ideas in this space, whilst inspiring your staff and managing their development to reach their full potential. You should display a flexible approach to change, and hold the skills to coach and support your staff ensuring the focus remains with superior Community and Customer Service.

The package: Commencing salary package circa $95,700 p.a. plus superannuation. 

A leaseback vehicle is available and will be discussed with the successful candidate.

Location: This position will be based at our Taree and Forster community libraries. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
