About the role:
The Digital Services Librarian works as part of our high performing Library Technology team that works across all four of library locations to assist the Library team with the library’s technology, equipment, and infrastructure and the delivery of services and programs to the community. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Promote digital access and equity for people of all backgrounds, ages, skills and abilities, providing digital literacy programs and hands on support to help individuals in the library
- Develop and deliver engaging and exciting community programming in our creative studios for a range of skill levels in digital creative practice and content production for screen, audio, and 3d printing.
- Be at the forefront of all library technology projects, including library management system, business systems, website and app, supporting the rollout of library technology and updates, and providing staff training and support.
- Take a lead role in establishing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative outreach and specialised creative studio programs for new audiences.

We are relocating our central library into the heart of the Campbelltown CBD, so you’ll play a key role in setting up key technology infrastructure in the new location, staff training, and building program audiences in our new, expanded Creative Studio.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Positive and friendly interpersonal and communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Digital Technologies, Communications, Digital Media, Library and Information or related discipline and/or extensive relevant job-related experience, with a focus on community programs
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and editing software
- A current class C driver’s license.
- Strong technology and computer skills.
- Experience in working in customer service based environment with the ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Experience in library work and demonstrated knowledge of public library management systems and equipment.
- A valid working with children check, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
