Connected Libraries has a wonderful opportunity for a Customer Experience Library Engagement Officer to join our growing team. This part-time permanent position is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills in both Adult and Children & Youth Programming, and further develop your experience in delivering high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced and dynamic library service. You will be working across multiple Connected Libraries locations within the City of Casey, contributing to innovative services that make a real impact in the community. About us
Connected Libraries are in the City of Casey which is one of Victoria’s largest, fastest growing and most diverse municipalities. We operate five Libraries, a Library Lounge located in Cranbourne West and Clyde Township, plus four sets of 24/7 library lockers. We deliver services for the more than 400,000 residents who call Casey home.
Requirements
About the Role
As Customer Experience Library Engagement Officer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing excellent friendly, approachable and efficient customer service
- Developing, delivering and evaluating, community focused programs for all ages
- Providing leadership and oversee effective operations as and when required
Key Selection Criteria
- Post-trade or other post-secondary qualification is required
- Knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the role
- Proven planning skills to assist with the development of new community programs
- Proven experience facilitating programs for all ages either in public libraries or in a teaching capacity
- Ideally proven supervisory skills to undertake supervisory responsibilities as required
- High level of quality, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes and provide quality service delivery with strong customer service focus
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all ages across all areas of our community and ability to manage conflict
- Hands on information technology and problem-solving skills for a range of information technology and software tools
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently provide quality customer service
- Driver’s licence is essential
