About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Libraries the core responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning, sourcing and evaluation of library collections and resources
  • Leading best practice collection management, procurement and supplier relationships
  • Managing assets, facilities, equipment and resource planning
  • Preparing business cases and sourcing internal and external funding and grants
  • Delivering projects that improve service quality, efficiency and community benefit

About You

You are a strategic and forward-thinking library professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing innovation with operational excellence.

You will bring:

  • A graduate diploma or degree in library qualifications recognised by ALIA (desirable), or substantial equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic collection development and resource management, ideally within a public library environment
  • Proven ability to analyse data and trends to inform decision making and service improvement
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder and supplier management
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
